  CHANGE IN RESURRECTION DOCTRINE?

  ok, this is from the january 1, 2007 craptower.

  page 25 is the study article called "the first resurrection---now under way".

  it's too boring to type all the stupidity written, but here's a brief synopsis of where they come up with the brainiac idea that the first resurrection occurred in 1918 onwards:.

  Just let the stinkin' 1914 lie die and move on!!! The WTS can surely recover from this by just saying that it was one of Satan's ploys to stumble Jehovah's True Christian Witnesses. His attack further proves that they alone are doing vital work for Jehovah.
  
  Hell, most of the Dubs wouldn't quit going even if they said that Jesus was returning as a giant can-opener!

  due to funkyderek i have come to the decision to leave this board.

  when i posted on the current gay thread in a way that i thought would stimulate thinking and lighten up the seriosness of the thread and have a laugh, he and others put me down publically labelling me.

  so i find it difficult now to continue posting knowing that someone has influenced others into thinking that i'm not worthy of being here because my phrasing and spelling is bad and that i'm apparently a "hyporite".

  Don't let anybody put you down by their insinuations that "approved" grammar is any form of an indicator of intelligence .... Your opponents are quick to criticise but I bet none of them can even speak Australian. *lol*
  
  Stick around... Your opinions are just as valid as anyone else's and this wouldn't be much of a forum without the diversity and unique perspectives that make it what it is.

  Are we most likely in the last days? Without a doubt, the Signs point to yes. The Faithful and Discreet Slave has said, “Yes, definitely…It is decidedly so” and “it is certain.” Therefore, you may rely on it. There is no reason to ask again later as the outlook is good for Jehovah’s Christian Witnesses. Although we cannot predict now the exact hour, the outcome is uncertain and it does not look good for those that reject God’s chosen messenger. Because their minds are hazy, “ask again later” or “my reply is no” is most likely their doubtful response when we try to place our life saving literature. Certainly, the outlook is not good for those that hear God’s message but don’t count on it!

  Hmmm.......For some reason, it sounds kinda' familiar....

  i was just researching some things and saw an article scan from 4-15-88 watchtower.

  it talks of an unrepentant "wrongdoes", like a son who was a drunkard and glutton, and if he was unrepentant when brought before the judges, his parents would have a part in executing him.

  my mom had said to me last time she was here..."it's a good thing we are not in bible times, you would be stoned!

  and this person said that gays are not welcome here and this is not what this board was really about.

  i told them that this is only one part of the crap that the wts did to people and that we are people too.

  DOES MONEY BUY HAPPINESS?

  i think most of us were probably trained to believe that money can't buy happiness, but is that really true?

  i know i'd be a hell of a lot happier with more money....what about you?

  of course, there are the big examples we all know of---people who had lots of money, fame, but they weren't happy.

  I wouldn't say that I'm any happier now than I was years ago, struggling. Just different issues have different levels of importance. It seems like people that are committed to being happy.... ARE happy... and people committed to being miserable... well... you know....
  
  I like what Forrest Gump said... "We don't have to worry about money anymore...and that's good... it's one less thing"
  
  Money may not buy you happiness but being broke sure seems to buy you a lot of misery.
  
  It's all relative... Rolex's don't keep time any better than Timex's....
  But Corazon tequila tastes a whole hell of alot better than Jose Cuervo!
